Lady Kateena Gates

First Lady Kateena Gates has been involved in Christian ministry all of her adult life and has served alongside her husband, Bishop Everett Gates, throughout their entire marriage for more than 20 years.  Lady Gates, as she is affectionately referred to by The One In Christ Ministries congregation, was called to establish and lead, along with her husband, the O.I.C. ministry that is located in Clermont, FL.  She possesses the ability to reach and help others as she works to complement the ministry of her husband.

Lady Gates is the ideal example of the Proverbs 31 Woman.  In addition to raising their three children, her commitment to helping others is evident through her lifestyle of service.  She founded the Women of Worth (W.O.W.) women’s ministry at O.I.C. to promote unity and sisterhood.  She is founder of the Sister-to-Sister program for women at O.I.C that is designed to develop, strengthen and encourage friendships with other women.

 

With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Lady Gates has a heart for restoring family relationships. Above all her accomplishments, she considers supporting her husband in ministry and raising Godly children her primary purpose.

 

With constant reminders of her husband’s preaching style, Lady Gates boldly challenges women to serve as blessings to their husbands and families. The O.I.C. family attributes Lady Gates’ wisdom and leadership to the emphasis she places on her close personal relationship with God.​
